João Felix has completed a loan move to AC Milan until the end of the season.
The deal with the Serie A side includes a £5m loan fee and does not include an obligation to buy when the loan expires in the summer. He will join Kyle Walker, who joined the club from Manchester City.
The required paperwork was submitted in advance of Monday’s transfer deadline.
Born in Viseu, Felix developed as a player in his home country – at Padroense and Porto – before joining Benfica, where he made his first-team debut in 2017 and won the Portuguese league title.
In 2019, he moved to Atletico Madrid, with whom he won La Liga, after which he wore the shirts of Barcelona and Chelsea.
To date, Félix has scored 75 goals in 259 appearances throughout his career.
In June 2019, Felix made his debut for Portugal. He has scored nine goals in 45 appearances for his country, winning the 2019 Nations League.
He will wear the number 79 shirt.
AC Milan, managed by the Portuguese Sergio Conceicao, currently sits in 8th place in Serie A.
