According to a story in Spain newspaper AS, agent Jorge Mendes is not happy with João Félix’s situation at Atletico Madrid.
Félix has not played as much as expected this season and there are reports of Premier League club interest in the 22 year old.
Add to the fact that 2022 is a World Cup year it becomes important for Félix to be relevant to play for the Seleção, especially in the March playoffs.
The AS report says Mendes may seek to work a solution during the upcoming January winter market.
On July 3, 2019, Félix signed a seven-year contract through 2026 with Atlético for a transfer fee of €126 million to Benfica, the fourth highest sum ever paid at that time.
This season Félix has played in 14 matches with one goal and two assists, but in those 14 appearances he has only made six starts.
