Famalic\u00e3o made official on Tuesday as they announced the hiring of Hugo Oliveira as their new manager.<\/p>\n
Prior to returning to Portugal, Hugo was the goalkeeping coach at Marco Silva’s Fulham in the Premier League.<\/p>\n
The 45-year-old native of Fi\u00e3es from the suburbs of Porto signed a contract valid until the summer of 2026.<\/p>\n
Hugo has a long history of being responsible for training goalkeepers, having worked for clubs such as Paredes, Rebordosa, Marco, Gil Vicente, Uni\u00e3o de Leiria and Benfica.<\/p>\n
From the 2016\/2017 season onwards, he went to England, having represented Hull City, Watford, Everton and Fulham, where he was most recently on Marco Silva’s staff.<\/p>\n
He arrives in Famalic\u00e3o to replace Armando Evangelista, who, in the last round, was replaced on an interim basis by Ricardo Silva, who drew 1-1 against FC Porto.<\/p>\n
Famalic\u00e3o’s new manager will have his first challenge as manager on Monday at SC Braga.<\/p>\n
