Roberto Mart\u00ednez has included Cristiano Ronaldo and FC Porto starlet Rodrigo Mora in his 27-player squad for the Nations League semifinals next month.<\/p>\n
Portugal will play Germany on June 4 in Munich, and Spain and France will meet in the other semifinal.<\/p>\n
“Regarding Cristiano’s fitness, he is available to play. There’s no problem,” Mart\u00ednez said. “I feel very happy with the quality that we have in the squad. We have many options. We have four players in the\u00a0Champions League final, and that is interesting.”<\/p>\n
FC Porto’s teenage striker Rodrigo Mora has been called for the first time.<\/p>\n
“He is a special player, I would like to talk about his path,” Mart\u00ednez said. “I’ve seen him play for the Under 17 team, and he made a positive impact.<\/p>\n
“For what he’s done in the last six months, he deserves a place in the national team.”<\/p>\n
Mart\u00ednez said he was not interested in talk that Jose Mourinho\u00a0could replace him\u00a0after the Nations League.<\/p>\n
“I can say what my focus is, that is the 2026 World Cup, and that is what we are working on.”<\/p>\n
“We are working to improve, to grow, and continue with the work we’ve done so far. The rest is noise, but our focus is the World Cup.”<\/p>\n
