Sporting CP will host newly promoted Alverca, and Benfica will also host newly promoted Tondela in the quarter-finals of next season’s League Cup, the Liga Portugal has announced after the first and second division classification was finalized.

The other ties will feature FC Porto x Vitória SC and SC Braga x Santa Clara.

Benfica holds the record for most League Cup titles, with eight, including last season, followed by Sporting CP with four, SC Braga with three, and Vitória Setúbal, Moreirense, and FC Porto one each.
